DEFINITION:
A special account separate from your regular savings and club accounts which enables you to write drafts (checks).
ELIGIBILITY:
Persons 18 years or older, within the field of membership of this credit union.
DENIAL FOR A SHARE DRAFT ACCOUNT:
- Poor Credit History
- Loan Delinquency
- Bad Check History
- Overdrafts
Any Share Draft account closed by the credit union will not be permitted to be re-opened in the future without Board of Directors approval.
REASONS FOR CLOSING A SHARE DRAFT ACCOUNT:
Four overdrafts within a 12 month period
Loan delinquency
DUPLICATE DRAFTS:
All drafts ordered will be in duplicate because the member will not receive the original back with the statement. The reasons for keeping the duplicates for your records are:
Proof of payment
An aid in balancing your statements
It has been ruled that the duplicate along with the statement is proof of payment in most cases. Statements are mailed monthly.
